Alkan Sports Management B.V. (“Alkan Sports Management”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains which personal data we collect through alkansports.com and in the course of our services, why we collect it, and what your rights are under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We are the controller for the personal data described in this policy.

2. What data we collect

Contact form and email. When you contact us, we process your name, email address, phone number (if provided), the role you select (athlete, parent or guardian, brand, other) and the content of your message.

Athletes and business relations. If we work with you, we process the data needed to perform our agreement, such as contact details, career and club information, content and image material, and details of commercial partnerships.

Technical data. Our hosting provider automatically processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you visit, in server logs, to keep the website secure and working.

3. Why we use your data

• To answer your message or request (legal basis: steps prior to entering into a contract, or our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries).
• To perform our agreement with athletes, brands and partners (legal basis: performance of a contract).
• To comply with legal obligations, such as tax and administrative record-keeping (legal basis: legal obligation).
• To keep our website secure and working (legal basis: legitimate interest).

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not sell your data.

4. Minors

If you are under 16, please contact us together with a parent or guardian. We only process personal data of minors with the consent of a parent or guardian.

5. Who we share data with

We only share your data when necessary, for example with:

• our hosting and email provider, which stores the website and our email in the Netherlands;
• advisers and service providers we work with, such as accountants, legal advisers, photographers and content creators, where needed for our services;
• a licensed FIFA football agent we cooperate with, only if you are an athlete and only where this is needed for a transfer or contract matter and you have agreed to it.

Where these parties process data on our behalf, we make agreements with them to protect your data. We do not transfer your data outside the European Economic Area unless appropriate safeguards are in place.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep messages from the contact form for up to 12 months after our last contact, unless a working relationship follows. Data we need for our agreements is kept for the duration of the agreement and afterwards as long as required by law (for financial records, 7 years under Dutch law).

7. Cookies

This website only uses functional cookies that are necessary for it to work. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies. Fonts are served from our own server. If we add analytics or other cookies in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

8. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss and unauthorised access, including a secure (HTTPS) connection and restricted access to our systems.

9. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise your rights, email info@alkansports.com. We respond within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) via autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
